William L. Mayo founded East Texas Normal College (ETNC) in Cooper as a private teachers' college in 1889. He served as the president of the institution from its foundation until his sudden death from a heart attack in 1917. After his death and burial on campus, annual memorial services and other similar events, as well as various publications, have honored his life and helped sustain his legacy.
All materials ordered first alphabetically by topic and then chronologically.
