Ruby Bell Collection
Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of programs, invitations, newspaper clippings, and other ephemera collected by ETSTC graduate Ruby Bell. It includes programs from theatrical events, choral concerts, graduation ceremonies, and other events on campus. Folder 4 contains Ruby Bell's class schedules and permission forms signed by the Dean of Women granting Miss Bell permission to receive a male visitor in her boarding house and another granting permission to travel off-campus.

Biographical/Historical Note
Ruby Bell was a 1926 graduate of East Texas State Teachers College from Caddo Mills, Texas. She was involved in the Beach Choral Club, Commerce Little Theater, and other dramatic organizations. The 1926 Locust Yearbook describes her as, "a good student, wonderful worker, and a true sport. Always ready for a good time and eats."
