Peyton McKnight Papers
Scope and Contents
The Peyton McKnight Papers document the activity and work of Texas State Senator Peyton McKnight (1925-1995). Serving as a state senator from 1973-1983 this collection contains McKnight's general correspondence, legislative notes, newspaper clippings, and speech materials. Additionally, the collection contains several types of records common to a state senator's office. These include copies of house and senate bills, notes and schedules pertaining to legislative committees, a subset of files pertaining to constitutent needs and requests, and administrative records.
