Oral History Collection
The Special Collections Department collects oral histories related to the history of Northeast Texas and Texas A&M University-Commerce. The department also serves as a repository for oral histories conducted by students and faculty in the course of their research.

Peniel High School Girl's Basketball Team Photographs
This collection contains a 7x9 photograph of the Peniel High School Girl's Basketball Team, the Kittens, posing around a championship trophy. The photograph is dated March 18, 1933. Also included are two undated headshots of the same individual, one of a basketball player wearing a Penial Kittens sweatshirt and the other a formal yearbook photograph. The basketball headshot contains the following inscription: "Les ye forget- B. Almon (old cat) 1932-1933, Term at Peniel."

Ruby Allmond Collection
Ruby Bell Collection
This collection consists of programs, invitations, newspaper clippings, and other ephemera collected by ETSTC graduate Ruby Bell. It includes programs from theatrical events, choral concerts, graduation ceremonies, and other events on campus. Folder 4 contains Ruby Bell's class schedules and permission forms signed by the Dean of Women granting Miss Bell permission to receive a male visitor in her boarding house and another granting permission to travel off-campus.
Sarah Frances Weatherbee Collection
This collection includes photographs, correspondence, and news items related to ETNC. Most importantly, the collection includes a scrapbook of the 1914 class with event programs and candid photographs of students and professors. Additionally, there are two panoramic photographs of the 1911 Oratory Class and another of the student body, undated.

Texas County Maps
Collection includes records from Texas county land surveyor offices including county maps, county school district maps, land ownership maps, and school bond information. Included in the collection is a map index, which includes the following information for each map: title, date, name of draftsman and surveyor, scale, condition, dimension, and a general description.

Tuttle Family Materials
The Tuttle Family Materials consists of legal papers, photographs, a newspaper clipping, and correspondence. The bulk of the materials are those of Mrs. J.A. Tuttle.
University History Vertical File Collection
The University History Vertical File Collection consists of topical files regarding organizations, departments, employees, students, and events. The files were compiled by Dr. James Conrad through his personal research and through small donations to the Special Collections Department. This collection is on-going and as such, this finding aid is subject to change.
University Photograph Collection
The University Photograph Collection comprises photographs, negatives, and slides that document the history of Texas A&M University-Commerce. Dates range from the foundation of the college in 1889 until the prominent use of digital photography in the mid-2000s. The collection is arranged topically. Several areas of focus include athletics, campus buildings, faculty and staff members, campus departments and offices, and student activities.
